My boys have totally learned to swim this summer. Spending time at Nonnie's pool has been awesome. She is able to get the boys to try things they might not try for us. I am so excited they will be able to look back one day and say they learned to swim in her pool!

members night

In case you haven't figured it out, WE LOVE THE ZOO!! We go all of the time. We especially love members night! FREE RIDES!!!!!!! We had such fun the other night. Daddy got to go with us this time. Such a blast!! :) :)

library

We have had lots of fun this summer taking part in the summer reading program at the local library. We have enjoyed many craft days and especially loved Bob Tartar and all of his animals. We had a fun time at the end of the year treasure hunt. Great treasure such as free kids meal coupons and treats. What a blast!!

YMCA

The boys have had so much fun this summer at the YMCA pool. Both boys have mastered the deep end and the slides. I have been so happy to see how much their swimming has improved. As much as I dislike the water, I am so thankful both of them are turning out to be great swimmers!!! They have both decided they want to be lifeguards when they are teenagers so they can blow the whistles at kids to correct them! :)

Ethan won a bowling gift card for reading so many books in this year at school. We had lots of fun cashing in the card during a day off with daddy.

This summer has been SO hot. We have tried to take advantage of the "cooler" days by getting outside and enjoying some of our favorite "carport" activities. We love to paint and blow bubbles. Check out Ethan's guns/ holsters. He is a Jedi or superhero at all times. He is always wearing either a cape, lightsaber or gun at all times as you can see in many of the pictures in all of these posts. I just love this age. The boys are so creative and full of imagination! I love it!! I am trying to capture all of it in pictures. They are growing up so quickly and I know these days will just not last long enough!!

bike riding

Ethan and I worked very hard this summer on learning to ride the "big bike." After lots of sweat and encouragement, HE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so proud to report my blue eyes can ride ALL BY HIMSELF!!!!!!!! He just kept on trying and did it!! I am so happy I could help him with this accomplishment. It was an awesome day for both of us when he finally got it!!!!!

Jon Jon is not far behind. Jon Jon was excited for Ethan to graduate to the big bike because that meant he would inherit the training wheels bike. Jon Jon just grew enough to master the tricycle last year. This year he just jumped on the training wheel bike and took off. I am sure the training wheels will be off soon.

My boys are growing and accomplishing so very much this summer!!!!!!!!

check-up day

Today was check-up day at the doctor. Jon Jon had to get the dreaded kindergarten shots. He did AWESOME during both the bloodwork and the shots. Not a tear was shed! He is such a trooper. He has been through so much. He just goes with it! Ethan had to get an unexpected shot. We went into the appointment thinking he was not getting a shot. Oh the drama! :) Both boys got excellent reports from the doctor. Yippee. We went to the mall to play on the playground and to Macaroni Grill for a celebration lunch! Great Day!!
