I know it has been so very long since my last post. (Believe me, I hear all of your complaints. :) ) Things have been very hectic since school resumed in August. As you can see by the 20 posts below, I have still been taking pictures!! It has been hard to find the time to transfer the pics to the website. You can see we have been busy having lots of fun with our boys!
Today while I am home with Jon Jon after his dental surgery, I have been able to get these posts done. It has actually been comical. Too bad there is no one here to get a picture of me holding Jon Jon and his baby doll with one hand, balancing the computer on my lap, and typing with the other hand.
******* surgery update *******
Jon Jon had a rough morning. As you can imagine, another surgery was not exactly what he wanted to do today. The doctor was super nice. However, Jon Jon was less than thrilled to see him. Jon Jon was gone from my sight for about an hour. When he returned, he was very unhappy. The nurses all loved him. They all kept telling me how cute and sweet he was. They all told me how he kept telling them "please" when he asked to see his mommy and have his iv removed when he woke up. They loved his sweet little manners.
Leading up to this surgery, I have been telling myself it would be easier since it would be a shorter procedure and no casts all over his body afterward. WHATEVER!!! It was not any easier!!!!!! It was still the horrible part of having someone take my child away. The sick feeling in my stomach knowing he was in a room full of strangers, under anesthesia and enduring more surgery. Seeing him experiencing pain, crying out to me and the only thing I can do is hold him is just as bad as it has been the other times. I still hold to the opinion I had after the first surgery....Seeing my child in pain and feeling helpless is WAY harder than actually having the surgery myself!
And … we’re back!
