surgery recovery

We are in recovery mode around here. We had a quick visit to the hospital for Jon Jon’s surgery yesterday. The pain meds he received at the hospital yesterday were quite effective for a few hours. However, when they wore off, it was not pretty! He has been in a lot of pain. We are giving him meds and trying to get ahead of the pain again. He rested some last night. He was in pain during the night and did not get as much sleep as we had hoped he would. This morning he is playing when he is not hurting. I am hoping we will soon get past the worst part of this and Jon Jon can get back to his lively, energy filled self. It is hard to see him hurt. Thank you so much for your prayers.
